Employability Skills Survey

The employability skills survey considers the holistic spectrum of attributes when hiring a candidate and whether our universities and higher educational institutes are addressing these requirements in their curricula.

The main objective of this survey is to obtain an understanding of the higher education institutes and their respective faculties from which the IT industry of Sri Lanka sources talent.

In addition, the survey also aims to:

  • Identify the required employability skills to the industry.
  • Identify & ascertain what the industry can do to bridge the identified gaps.
  • Assist SLASSCOM in improving the employability of undergraduates in the local ICT industry.
  • Enable SLASSCOM to devise appropriate interventions to educate and equip faculties to impart necessary skills.

The survey intends to cover SLASSCOM member companies that recruit graduates for IT and related technology solution job roles.
